Java Fern - microsorum pteropus (live aquarium plant)
Java Fern (microsorum pteropus) is a hardy plant for beginners and experts alike. Java Fern has an invasive root system that makes it ideal for growing on wood or rocks. Jave Fern also roots easily in gravel and other substrates. Java Fern is one of the few plants that can be housed with Cichlids or other plant eating fish.
As well as being a tropical plant, Jave Fern can be used in coldwater aquariums which are housed at a steady room temperature.
